Job Summary
Assistant Softball Coach at Sheridan High School in Sheridan County School District 2. Provides support to the Head Coach in selecting players, assigning positions, assisting with tryouts, and sorting players into varsity/junior varsity (or A/B/C) teams based on skill and potential. Assists in observing players during practice to determine starters and monitors improvements. Requires current endorsement through the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) before coaching begins and maintenance of CPR/First Aid certifications and immunizations. Demonstrates knowledge of softball rules, regulations, and related paperwork; expects to maintain good relationships with the team while providing leadership. The role may involve physical demands related to coaching duties; the position is categorized as a seasonal, non-exempt, part-time contract with stipend.
Required Qualifications
- Obtain current endorsement through the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) prior to the start of coaching responsibilities
