Job Summary

Inspect shredder components like hammers, grates, and liners for wear while lubricating moving parts and checking hydraulic systems. Perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer guidelines, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and react to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime. Diagnose mechanical issues, replace worn parts, repair hydraulic leaks, and assist with utility installations. Adhere to safety protocols, including proper PPE and lockout/tagout procedures. Requires proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and electrical repairs, plus experience with programmable logic controllers. Up to $23.00 hourly with comprehensive benefits. Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in comprehending schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, welding, and fabricating skills
  • Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and find effective solutions
  • Prior experience maintaining industrial machinery, preferably shredders or similar heavy-duty equipment
  • Must be able to operate maintenance vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Experience in three phase and single phase electrical repairs
  • Must be able to perform general electrical repairs
  • Must be able to arc weld with stick and mig abilities
  • Must have working understanding of programmable logistic controllers
  • Ability to thoroughly inspect equipment and identify potential problems before they become major issues
  • Commit to safety practices and follow safety regulations related to operating heavy machinery

Desired Qualifications

  • 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
