Job Summary
The Shredder Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of auto shredders and concentrators. Key responsibilities include diagnostic troubleshooting and service tasks for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The role demands conducting routine inspections, maintaining conveyor systems, and ensuring safety standards are met. Candidates should possess a Vocational/Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent experience. The position requires the willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and the ability to pass a drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Industrial Maintenance Mechanic degree, or equivalent work experience
- Willingness to work in varied weather conditions
- Must be willing to complete, and successfully pass a drug screen, physical and background check
- All US applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a scrap metal recycling yard or medium to heavy industrial environment
- Experience in using industrial equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, and hoists
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
