Job Summary
Guide customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, through product selections for lighting, appliances, high-end fixtures, and cabinetry. Greet guests upon arrival, learn their project motivations, and develop lasting relationships. Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information while preparing job quotations and submittals. Utilize suggestive sales techniques to recommend solutions fitting customer needs and budgets, handling complaints timely and accurately. Provide ongoing support after the sale and continually improve sales skills and product knowledge. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This uncapped commission role offers an estimated total compensation of $60,000-$75,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales experience
- Prior sales experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting, and/or cabinetry preferred
- Problem solving, leadership, listening and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- The ability to deal with a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge
- Understand the basics of design and interior decorating
- Able to engage in a consultative sales approach to recommend solutions for the varying needs of the customer
