Job Summary
Drive sales and results through strategic decisions and performance metrics to meet Purple's store goals. Establish clear objectives, monitor progress, and hold the team accountable for sales productivity. Create optimized schedules that align staffing with peak times and manage a group of approximately four to five associates. Recruit, hire, and develop retail talent while coaching selling behaviors and fostering a positive work environment. Adhere to safety and operational standards, prepare visual marketing displays, and lead by example using company values. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience working in a retail environment
- Ideally in a store manager role
- Be comfortable learning & adapting to new technology
- Excellent interpersonal communication capabilities
- Customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
- Strengths in leadership, management, team building, and problem solving
- Understanding of basic business management functions
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Proven competencies in effective communication and management
- Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical Activities may occasionally include: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like
- Physical Activities may constantly include: remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Reaching or bending repeatedly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Capability to lift up to 200 pounds via team lift or equipment
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Operating power tools, depending on position
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
