Job Summary
As a Showroom Consultant for EMCO Corporation, you will provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to customers in a Canada-based showroom. You will aim to meet or exceed monthly product-specific sales and gross profit targets, build relationships with designers, builders, and architects, and provide accurate quotes and delivery dates. Responsibilities include directing product selections, closing sales, entering orders, expediting purchases, resolving customer issues, maintaining up-to-date product literature, and driving showroom sales through promotions and attractive display materials. The role requires Grade 12 (or equivalent), 2+ years in customer service or sales (plumbing/kitchen/bathroom showroom sales preferred), a valid driver’s license, knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication and relationship-building skills, ability to determine customer needs and propose solutions, solid project-management capabilities, and the ability to learn the showroom software and perform order processing. Salary range is CAD 45,000–50,000 plus profit sharing; related benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted. Location is Mississauga, Ontario, with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- College and/or University degree an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen or bathroom showroom sales preferred
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions and close the sale
- Have strong project management skills
- Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
- Intermediate math skills
