Job Summary
Perform as a body/fur-suit character in a show while following specific blocking and dance choreography, greeting, and entertaining park guests with enthusiasm and high animation. Carry and wear 5 to 20 pounds of costume weight, work in crowds, heat, and cold for up to 45-minute intervals, and execute specific choreographed movements. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and energy focused on creating FUN experiences. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, between 5'0" and 5'8" with a slim to athletic build, and able to stand, climb, walk, and use hearing acuity in extreme temperatures. This short-term position requires registration via a SmartSheet form prior to the Saturday audition at Gearworks Theatre.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants must be between 5'0"-5'8"
- Applicants must have a slim to athletic build
- Must be able to carry and wear 5 to 20 pounds of costume weight
- Must be able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for up to 45-minute intervals
- Must be able to perform specific choreographed movements during show
- Must be able to constantly stand, talk, climb, walk, reach, use finger movement, grasp, feel, speak clearly, hear conversation, use hearing acuity, see near and far, stoop, bend, and kneel
- Must be able to work in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity, and temperature change
- Must be able to assist with all lifts over 51 lbs (require help from a coworker or mechanical device)
