Job Summary
Deliver high-quality medical care at UrgentVet locations with flexible short-term assignments in Pittsburgh area; provide care for canine and feline patients in a walk-in/after-hours model, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia; collaborate with the clinical team and leadership, grow relationships within the Pittsburgh community, and mentor support staff through LevelUp training; choose locations/time periods that fit your life, with housing/travel stipends and a daily rate as a W2 employee; role designed for veterinarians seeking flexible, temporary assignments with potential for transition to a permanent position; open later hours with no overnight requirements and a dynamic caseload during open hours; strong emphasis on relationship-based client care and clinical practice rather than administrative duties; requires veterinary degree, active license, and adaptability to new clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
- Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience strongly preferred
- W2 employment eligibility
- Basis for flexibility in scheduling and travel/housing stipends for remote locations as described in the role
