Short Term Rental Compliance Clerk

Job Summary
Confirm Short-Term Rental violations and complaints, record notifications, and track property owners through resolution. Maintain a database of rental statistics and compile monthly hotel/motel receipts with the Finance Department. Coordinate administrative functions for multiple work units, including screening calls, relaying messages, and distributing documentation between staff and external agencies. Perform data entry, proofread correspondence, and manage file systems while ensuring confidentiality. Serve as the department liaison to County officials, community leaders, and the public to resolve routine issues and complaints.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3+ years of office administration experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Notary Public status
- Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute
- Ability to learn, comprehend, and apply all County and/or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position
- Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria
- Must take and pass an Advanced Word Processing Test
- Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds)
- Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation
- Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred creating reports in and using Neumo (formerly GovOS) and Geopermits application skills are a plus
