Job Summary
Conduct maintenance service requests in turnover and renovation units, performing external and internal repairs including drywall, painting, plumbing, appliance, boiler, and HVAC work. Operate machine tools like lathes and grinders to fabricate parts, and repair wooden structures such as cabinets and counters. Manage inventory, prepare paperwork, and maintain equipment in orderly condition. Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage based on schedule. Requires all-trade experience, OSHA/MSDS knowledge, weekend availability, and a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work
- Able to use required tools and machinery
- Professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- Knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work
- Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends required
