Job Summary
Execute on-brand design for digital and print assets supporting Rue La La and Gilt, including boutique main doors, advertising materials, and internal creative needs. Conceptualize and develop layouts, image composition, and typography from start to final approval while collaborating with copywriters, marketing managers, and art directors. Adapt to a fast-paced environment by shifting priorities based on changing calendars without compromising quality. Submit a resume and portfolio for consideration; submissions without portfolios will not be considered. This 3-month assignment offers hourly pay starting at $26, with potential for bonus, commission, stock options, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience as a junior designer or as a designer in an agency or in-house creative group
- Skilled with imaging applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
- Experience creating and optimizing graphics for the web
- A strong portfolio showing training and potential
- BA in Graphic Design
- Submissions without portfolios will not be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Great, positive attitude
- Desire to learn new things and keep abreast of the world of fashion, style, design, retailing and ecommerce
- Skills and experience with video applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects are a plus
- Any photography Art Direction experience
