Job Summary
Full-time Anesthesiologist for a 6-month locum assignment at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst, NS. Provide care across general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, and ENT with a full scope of anesthesiology practice, participate in on-call and respond within 20 minutes, and engage in quality improvement activities. Compensation includes a daily rate with travel reimbursements and relocation incentives. All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the CPSNS; specialists must be eligible for RCPSC certification; CMPA or equivalent liability coverage is required. Benefits may include health and dental, CME funding, parental leave, and relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- CMPA or equivalent professional liability coverage
- Full-time anesthesiology license and ability to practice in Nova Scotia
- Locum physician may be eligible for daily rate of $1,600 (CAD)
- 6-month assignment June 2026 to December 2026
