Job Summary
Assist mechanics with equipment maintenance and repair projects, including performing basic preventative maintenance like oil changes and fluid checks. Pressure wash equipment, vehicles, and shop areas while loading, unloading, organizing, and moving materials throughout the shop and yard. Operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely to support daily operations and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures and policies while performing additional duties as assigned. This role supports shop and yard operations for a company in Shreveport, LA, offering a full-time position with a valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous shop, yard, general labor, or mechanical experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet the employer's driving insurance eligibility requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
