Job Summary
Operate machines such as Circle Shear, Main Shear, Notcher, Spot Welder, Hand Shear, and Roller to fabricate sheet metal products. Read customer job orders and dispense products accordingly. Assist in fitting, welding, and layout by positioning workpieces and marking reference points. Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work in process using hand dolly, truck, or forklift. Handle and dispose of scrap materials from work areas. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas, machines, tools, and equipment. This position requires full-time hours Monday through Friday, regular punctual attendance, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Trained forklift operation is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 1-year related experience and/or training
- Trained in forklift operations
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to grasp items or to feel, and to verbally communicate
- Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, and/or crouch
- Frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
- This position requires full-time hours Monday through Friday, and regular, punctual attendance
