Job Summary
Inspect, assess, and repair equipment by following operating instructions, removing, adjusting, and replacing components to correct deficiencies. Maintain shop supplies, tools, and facility organization while conducting tests to verify performance. Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs, ensuring parts and tools remain in stock and good repair. Keep detailed records of all maintenance work, equipment servicing, and repairs. Comply with safety procedures to maintain a clean environment. Requires two years of equipment maintenance experience, forklift certification, and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of equipment maintenance, construction, and repairs along with a willingness to learn about new resources used in the industry
- Knowledge of refinery turnaround planning, execution, and scheduling
- Experience using semi-automated or automated tools and machines
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Proper lifting techniques
- May include lifting to 50 lbs overhead with both hands during pump placement
- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed
- May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
- Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist
- Use hands to seize, grip, hold, reach, turn, lift, or carry objects 25 lbs. or more
- Use equipment requiring high dexterity
- Frequent exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhausts and highly pressurized fluids
- Occasional work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather conditions)
- Noise level in the work environment is often in excess of 85dBa
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with drains, safety valves etc. is preferred
- Forklift Certified highly preferred
- CDL is a Plus
- Proficient in the use and application of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
