Job Summary
Shop Technician (Training Provided) at Levitt-Safety — responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and preparing fire and life safety equipment, while learning from experienced technicians. Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs, assist Field Technicians with equipment preparation and diagnostics, and maintain accurate service documentation. Occasional visits to customer sites for inspections, training, or equipment servicing. The role includes company-provided training, certifications, tools, and a clear career path into Field Service; opportunity for overtime and a stable, Canadian-owned employer with a long history. Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools
- Experience in a shop, mechanical, industrial, automotive, or equipment repair environment
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving abstract
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Comfortable learning new technical skills and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting experience
