Job Summary
The Shop Technician performs essential service activities in the main service shop, including analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, performing repairs on Caterpillar equipment and allied products, writing accurate service reports, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation. The role requires maintaining safety standards, effective communication with customers, adhering to manufacturer service guidelines, and working overtime as needed. Candidates should have an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or a related field and at least three years of experience in heavy equipment service.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or closely related field
- Minimum of three years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service
- Equivalence of education and work experience may be considered
