Job Summary
Diagnose equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors. Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and troubleshoot issues by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. Maintain electronic documentation of work performed daily and assist in training lower-level technicians. Work individually or with others to set up and operate equipment, while handling pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. This role requires advanced mechanical aptitude, experience with HVAC and power equipment, and familiarity with schematics.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- High School diploma
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Must pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school certificate
- Experience in equipment service, maintenance and repair
- EPA 608 certification
- Ability to obtain EPA 608 certification within 6-12 months of employment
