Job Summary
Shop Technician responsible for repairing valve equipment in the shop, including frac valves and wellheads. Responsibilities include assembling/disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and testing equipment; reading blueprints and drawings; performing general shop maintenance; shipping and receiving; cleaning, disassembling, pressure washing, reassembling, testing, greasing, and painting Wellhead and Frac equipment; maintaining hand and power tools; contributing to QHSE through safety and quality reports, logs, and training; and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires at least 1 year of related experience, ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions, basic math and measurement tasks, and basic computer skills. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and other endurance tasks. On-site role based in Kilgore, TX, with hair follicle drug test and background check required for employment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
- Write route reports and correspondence
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, fraction, percentages, area and volume
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Limited computer knowledge
- Determine the correct equipment and tools needed to do a job correctly
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle, or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit
- Operate, handle, push or pull, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs.
