Job Summary
Coordinate scheduling of shop work with the Shop Supervisor to guarantee excellent customer service and production efficiency while maintaining quality and on-time shipment of all products. Assign raw materials per order to meet budget requirements, keep surplus and raw materials inventory accurate, and provide technical support to sales staff and employees. Perform tasks including Mig Welding, Fossing Copper, welding of AL Bus Work, utilizing fabrication equipment for tank modification, wiring control boxes, and full testing of transformers and devices. Clean work areas daily and participate in ongoing process improvement through team meetings. Work Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm with some overtime, earning $23.00+ depending on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Broad electrical technical capability in servicing and repairing distribution transformers
- Mig Welding
- Fossing Copper
- Welding of AL Bus Work
- Utilizing all fabrication equipment for tank modification
- Wiring of Control Boxes
- Full Testing of transformers and devices
- Application of multiple styles of paints/bondo/finishing products
- Basic computer skills including email, internet, etc
- Decision making skills
- Strong people skills
- Ability to drive company vehicles and/or use personal vehicle on company business
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Expected to work overtime during periods of peak demand
- Required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety footwear and safety clothing
