Job Summary
Support all shop and equipment yard operations by pulling hoses, pipes, fittings, and pumps to fulfill service, rental, and sales contracts. Operate motorized machinery to safely load equipment onto trucks and trailers, then secure loads with straps and chains. Maintain a clean, organized yard free of debris to ensure efficient equipment movement. Follow safety-first procedures, assist shop personnel and field crews as needed, and perform all other duties assigned. This role requires a high school diploma, heavy equipment experience, and an OSHA 10 Hour certificate. Full-time, hourly position with potential weekend and overtime work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience working outdoors in a hands-on, field-based position
- General mechanical aptitude
- Experience operating heavy industrial equipment
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to meet the assigned company's regulatory insurance requirements for owned autos determined through Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR)
- OSHA 10 Hour
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to write correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to interpret and manipulate general computer software programs
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to read a ruler to 1/16"
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Must be capable of standing and walking for long durations, which could exceed 8 hours in a day
- Must be capable of using hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
- Must be capable of seeing details of objects from a distance
- Must be capable of entering confined spaces
- Must be capable of climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain
- Must be capable of squatting and crawling
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 pounds when necessary
- Must be available to travel up to 50% of the time
- Must be available to work weekends and overtime while accommodating a variable schedule
