Job Summary
Repair and service machinery for complete customer satisfaction while maintaining shop and yard cleanliness. Maintain, safely operate, and care for company-owned tools and equipment per company requirements. Order parts and materials through Ascendum Parts to complete work assignments and ensure all company safety requirements are followed at all times. Complete assigned work with minimum re-work, promptly report any unsafe conditions, and adhere to instruction of supervisor. Complete all required paperwork and maintain records as required. Possess above average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and diesel engines to troubleshoot and service equipment in changing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school completion in appropriate field
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Approachable and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements
- Aptitude for repairing, trouble shooting, and servicing equipment in changing environments
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment
- Above average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, diesel engines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm
- Customer orientation toward service and building relationships
- Compatible to working branch hours and extended days as needed
- Own set of tools for repairing equipment
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, climb and crawl without restrictions
- Continuous use of wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in varying outdoor/indoor environments with various terrain
