Job Summary
Operate shear rails and perform stud welding to secure studs and fasteners on steel structures. Manage and maintain the cutting line for precise steel fabrication, handle and move steel materials, and conduct quality checks to ensure components meet project specifications. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, meet production schedules, and maintain an organized, safe shop environment. Assist with material handling and inventory management, perform routine shop equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and adhere to safety regulations and PPE requirements. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency operating shear rails, stud welding equipment, and cutting lines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong technical skills with steel materials and fabrication processes
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety guidelines and PPE
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects in a dynamic manufacturing environment
