Job Summary
Manage all aspects of a retail operation, including pricing, visual merchandising, and stock control, to ensure sound business practices and achieve sales targets. Delegate responsibilities to staff and volunteers while coaching direct reports daily to align development goals with business objectives. Monitor promotional events and selling techniques to maintain profitability, and handle customer complaints through effective communication with the team and regional support. Identify issues and opportunities based on customer feedback and trends to set priorities and meet daily deadlines. This permanent full-time role in Innisfail requires availability for one Saturday shift per fortnight and includes a commission program for high performers.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate a passion for Lifeline and be able to articulate its purpose
- Demonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management with a background in retail)
- Experience in coaching and mentoring people
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store roles, including but not limited to customer service, visual presentation, online marketing and stock control
- Ability to use a retail business systems, POS and Microsoft Office
- Must be available for one Saturday shift per fortnight
