Job Summary
Lead the shop team in fabrication, repair, and servicing of rail welding and railroad maintenance equipment. Assemble machines including motors, pumps, and valves while routing electrical conduit and reading blueprints for accurate assembly. Perform quality checks, complete project paperwork, and maintain a safe environment through daily safety briefings and 5S procedures. Communicate with engineering and management to understand specifications. Maintain physical cleanliness and orderliness of the production area. Prioritize workload, adapt to changing tasks, and meet functional requirements including lifting up to 50lbs. Work overtime when demand requires.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Valid driver's license with no major driving offenses within the last three years
- Prior Supervisory Experience
- Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
- Ability to meet all functional requirements including lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to work overtime when demand requires
