Job Summary
Coordinate daily shop priorities for fabrication, material staging, shipping, and deliveries while managing equipment readiness and fleet maintenance. Lead, train, and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and organization. Maintain an accurate inventory system, identify material shortages or damage, and prevent field delays through proactive communication with project managers. Assist with storefront, curtain wall, door, and glass fabrication as needed to ensure a clean, safe workspace. Improve shop processes to reduce wasted time and lost materials.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of leadership experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related environment
- Proven ability to organize daily work and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable giving direct feedback and holding employees accountable
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and basic production tracking systems
- Experience using power tools, fabrication equipment, forklifts, or warehouse equipment
- Ability to read shop drawings, fabrication sheets, measurements, and material lists
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
