Job Summary
The Shop Supervisor is a working leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations of the farm shop. Key responsibilities include supervising and mentoring the shop team, prioritizing repair orders, ensuring quality of maintenance work, managing procurement of parts, leading technical oversight for complex mechanical issues, enforcing safety compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation of equipment service histories. Candidates should have advanced technical expertise in farm equipment maintenance, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in farm equipment maintenance
- 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Advanced knowledge of diesel mechanics
- Hydraulics expertise
- Crop ergonomics/irrigation systems knowledge
- Proven ability to manage a team
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual: Proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred
- Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency with fleet management software and precision ag platforms
