Job Summary
As a Retail Shop Supervisor for Lifeline in Queensland, you will manage all aspects of a retail operation for a new store opening, coach staff and volunteers, oversee pricing, visual merchandising, promotions and selling techniques to maintain profitability, and ensure strong customer service while supporting Lifeline’s mission. You will lead and develop direct reports, set objectives aligned with business strategy, handle customer inquiries, and collaborate with regional support and external stakeholders. The role requires demonstrated retail management experience, coaching ability, and proficiency with POS and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management with a background in retail)
- experience in coaching and mentoring people
- ability to deliver high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations
- demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn fundamentals of store roles (customer service, visual presentation, online marketing and stock control)
- strong problem solving and influencing skills
- ability to use a retail business system, POS and Microsoft Office
- willingness to promote Lifeline's purpose and engage with community
