Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on asphalt pavers, compactors, and milling machines. Repair, rebuild, and maintain paving equipment components while performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and disassembly. Test equipment to verify proper operation, complete service reports accurately, and follow all safety protocols in a clean work environment. Collaborate with the service team to meet repair goals and stay current with evolving tools and technology.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience
- Diesel/Technical degree
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (service systems & documentation)
- Your own tools
- A safety-first mindset and attention to detail
- A background check
- Drug testing
