Job Summary
Perform repairs, rebuilds, maintenance, and fabrication on crushing, screening, and conveying equipment while operating the CNC plasma burn table for 25% of the role. Read blueprints, weld symbols, and repair drawings to execute FCAW, GMAW, SMAW welding, carbon arc gouging, and part cutting. Diagnose equipment issues, develop repair solutions, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Support and mentor less experienced team members, inspect finished parts for quality, and help develop best practices for burn table operations. Work safely following all company policies in a shop or yard environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in heavy equipment repair, welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Experience with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding processes
- Basic burn table, plasma table, or CNC cutting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in a shop or yard environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to safely operate welding, material handling, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE and work around noise, dust, heat, and welding fumes
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy construction, aggregate, or mining equipment experience
- Experience with crushing and screening equipment
- Experience with Metso equipment
- Bore welding and machining experience
- Previous experience training or mentoring others
