Job Summary
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on Caterpillar and allied heavy equipment. Repair, rebuild, and overhaul major components while performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and disassembling systems. Complete service reporting and documentation using service systems. Work safely and collaboratively with your team to ensure all tasks are done right. This role is part of the Earthmoving Division at Milton CAT, the exclusive Caterpillar dealer across the Northeast.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience
- Diesel Tech degree
- Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical, and drivetrains
- Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (service systems & documentation)
- Your own tools
- Pride in your workmanship and a safety-first mindset
- A background check
- Drug testing
