SHOP SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and batteries and/or construction and aerial equipment. Diagnose and plan repairs from work orders, perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis, write complete repair descriptions with model and serial/hour data, inspect safety devices, lubricate moving parts, verify conformance to specifications, and complete final quality inspection prior to return to service. Turn in paperwork daily (work orders, time cards), provide management with progress reporting, control shop workflow, create and communicate shop quotes, guide technicians as needed, review information on work orders throughout the process until billing, organize shop documentation, communicate with customers on job status, confirm scheduled maintenance, create field service quotes, answer customer calls, and affix final sign-off on shop work orders prior to invoicing. Requires ability to read safety/operating manuals, write routine reports, and communicate effectively; MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Internet).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of related mechanical experience and/or training
- valid driver’s license
