Job Summary
The Shop Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, disassembling and assembling machine components, conducting repairs, and maintaining customer relations. The role requires knowledge of various equipment types, quality control, and the ability to operate mechanical tools. The position also involves following safety policies and may require occasional travel to customer sites. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of dirt-engaging equipment, aerial, and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Quality control analysis skills
- Operation and control skills
- Equipment selection skills
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Desired Qualifications
- More than three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred
- High school/equivalent diploma or trade school diploma preferred
- Valid driver’s license
