Shop Rental Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts/equipment on construction equipment. Inspect machines coming on/off rent; perform preventative maintenance; replace oils/filters/belts/coolants/hoses; drain/ refill fuel systems; disassemble/reassemble parts; use diagnostic test equipment; operate hoists and forklifts; or reprogram equipment controllers. Work closely with Rental Coordinators to provide fast, efficient service to customers; remove/install attachments; clean/paint equipment; document and file necessary paperwork; perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the local language
- Reads and comprehends technical data/service manuals
- Writes routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
