Job Summary
Perform moderately complex shop operations, including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment according to company procedures and quality standards. Operate testing equipment to verify criteria, utilize hand and power tools safely, and complete required documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety policies and proactively addressing unsafe conditions. Work independently with minimal supervision to manage assigned tasks and communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors. Shift: 7:00PM - 7:00AM night rotation (11 days on / 3 days off).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to complete required documentation accurately
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment or demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of testing equipment and inspection criteria
- Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and communication
- Ability to work independently in a shop environment
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolding
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and squat frequently
- Reach, grasp, push, pull, lift, and carry equipment and materials
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements, including computer use and equipment operation
- Maintain balance while working on uneven or slippery surfaces
- Perform detailed visual inspections of equipment and components
- Safely operate motor vehicles when required
- Communicate effectively in person and receive detailed verbal instructions
- Shift: 7:00PM - 7:00AM Night Shift position
- 11 days on / 3 days off (every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
