Job Summary

Manage daily shop operations, schedule rotating equipment rebuilds, and oversee project flow while performing hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs using precise measuring tools and manufacturer manuals. Safely operate and inspect machinery, reassemble rotating equipment per factory standards, and conduct wire feed welding as needed. Act as the Safety Officer for the Houston shop, ensuring all certifications are current, and collaborate with the Baton Rouge office to manage inbound/outbound freight and packaging quality. Formally document all work performed and maintain a clean, organized work area while complying with all safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineering specifications
  • Must be able to interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures
  • Must provide own basic hand tools and measuring tools
  • Reliable transportation to and from work

Desired Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience with rotating equipment rebuilds preferred
  • Trade school training preferred
  • Track record of hands-on work experience in industrial-based businesses
  • Strong initiative (self-starter), able to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail throughout job completion
  • Skilled in problem analysis and problem resolution
  • Able to work well within an organization involving industry professionals, sales teams, and other staff
  • Wire feed welding (preferred)
