Job Summary

Diagnose and perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, maintenance, and servicing on all company and rental equipment, including bucket trucks, cranes, dozers, and trailers. Diagnose trouble sources, determine repair extent, and work with hazardous tools like welders and grinders while maintaining a clean work area. Keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and follow strict safety and PPE protocols. Electronically fill out work orders, order parts, track time, and complete daily reports. Possess own mechanic hand tools; company supplies diagnostic scanners and specialty tools. Requires DOT physical, active driver's license, and valid CDL A (preferred).

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid, Active Driver's License
  • Possess own mechanic hand tools
  • Possessing and supplying own mechanic hand tools
  • Possessing and supplying own mechanic hand tools ( diagnostic scanners company supplied along with some specialty tools )
  • DOT physical
  • current DOT medical card
  • Electronically filling out workorders
  • ordering parts
  • keeping time
  • completing daily reports
  • Work with supervision and support from Shop Foreman
  • perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, maintenance and services on all company and rental equipment
  • Diagnose the source of trouble
  • determine the extent of necessary repairs
  • keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion
  • maintain a clean work area at all times
  • Demonstrating safe work habits
  • proper care for tools and equipment
  • following all safety and PPE protocols
  • Work around moving equipment
  • work in constricted spaces
  • Work with hazardous tools, i.e., Welders , Torches, Grinders

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge or Electrical Overhead Powerline Construction Equipment
  • Previous experience with Construction Equipment repair, Yellow Iron, Tracked Equipment
  • Tractor Trailer Chassis and engine experience
  • Aerial unit experience, Bucket Trucks, Diggers, Cranes
  • Valid, Active CDL A
  • All of these skills can be trained or taught for the right candidate, more experience preferred
  • Looking to add high level technicians with vast experience levels all over the Mid-west, for fast growing company
