Job Summary
Shop Mechanic focused on safely operating a range of heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, water trucks) and performing preventative maintenance, including pre-shift walkarounds. Maintain positive crew relationships, produce high-quality work safely and productively, provide material/equipment feedback, seek improvements, and share knowledge. Requires 3–6+ years in industrial/construction equipment operation, ability to read drawings/specifications, and strong communication skills. Work up to a 12-hour shift outdoors; safety-sensitive role with PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in the industrial/construction equipment operation (level I)
- 4 years experience (level II)
- 5 years experience (level III)
- 6+ years experience in industrial/conmercial construction equipment operations
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards
- Proficient in using trade tools and equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
