Job Summary
Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and heavy construction equipment, including digger derricks, man-lifts, truck-mounted cranes, and directional drills. Requisition parts and equipment, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and set up new vehicles. Safely drive various vehicles to transport equipment, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections while obtaining necessary permits and licenses. Prepare and maintain records and reports, and establish working relationships with employees and outside agencies. Requires a Class A CDL, valid DOT medical card, own tools, and experience with power tools, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic equipment. 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday and 8-hour Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience and/or training in maintenance and repair of trucks and/or heavy equipment
- education in diesel technology or related field
- a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position's duties
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have or be able to obtain a class A CDL
- DOT medical card
- safe driving record
- valid driver's license according to legal requirements
- Experience with power tools
- experience with hand tools
- diagnostic equipment
- operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes
- mechanic design and fabrication
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must have own tools

- Subject to the Company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program
