Job Summary
Shop Mechanic responsible for maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, diagnosing faults in pumps/valves/motors/hydraulic lines, replacing/repairing components, testing systems for optimal pressure/flow/efficiency, tearing down and inspecting units, minor welding on piping bracing, and ensuring safety policies. Role involves working on hydraulic jet pumps, performing field maintenance when needed, contributing to continuous improvement, and occasionally visiting customer field locations. Requires 2 years of technical/mechanic experience, welding ability, proficient use of hand tools, and strong mechanical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and basic computer literacy are also required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and/or experience
- 2 years of similar work experience in a technical field/mechanic position
- Welding experience
- Experience using hand tools
- Strong mechanical skills
- Preferred jet pumps experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
