Job Summary
Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions in electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks. Install ignition systems, align wheels, replace engines, and perform collision repair, sand, prep, and paint. Lubricate vehicles, adjust safety devices, and fabricate lifting attachments per schematics. Complete standard maintenance and ensure state inspection requirements are met for all equipment. Adhere strictly to OSHA and H&K safety policies while working in loud environments, sometimes outdoors. Work regularly exceeds 40 hours weekly with 8-hour days.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in diesel mechanics or a related field
- 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
- Clean driving record
- Customer Service

- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, climb, balance, and crawl
- Frequently required to Stoop, crouch, kneel
- Use hands to finger, feel, and grasp
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- At times required to work outdoors in all environments
- Hours regularly exceed 40 in a week and 8 in a day

Desired Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience and/or training
- State Inspection license
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
