Job Summary
The Shop Manager / Diesel Mechanic will oversee the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including trucks and heavy machinery in the concrete industry. Key responsibilities include performing routine inspections and maintenance on diesel engines, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic issues, using diagnostic tools to identify problems, and collaborating with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the concrete industry or related fields
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Commitment to safety standards and protocols
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred
- Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair
