Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, read blueprints, and operate engine lathes, milling machines, radial drills, and horizontal saws. Interpret and control machine speeds and feeds, make fabrication sketches for repairs, and test products while troubleshooting errors independently. Conduct complete overhauls and major installs, provide root cause failure analysis without assistance, and mentor junior technicians. Assist with staffing-hour estimations and advise on labor charge rates. Requires proficiency in Collett, Cincinnati, and other specialized equipment. Starting at $25+/hr with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Several years of machining experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in precision measuring tools and machining calculations
- Experience operating a wide variety of machine tools, including advanced or specialized equipment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex machining problems independently
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and shop practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Operate at least 50 percent of all machine's tools
- Minimum of two of the following: Collett, Cincinnati, Metal spray operation, Simmons, Balancing Equipment, Bullard, Surface Grinder
