Job Summary
Shop Machinist responsible for inspecting equipment and machining parts to spec using manual and CNC machines. Reads blueprints and fabrication documents, determines dimensions and tolerances, selects and sets up tools and fixtures, controls cutting parameters, and starts/stops machine operations while monitoring for malfunctions to meet production standards. Performs in-process inspections, collaborates with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly issues, and adheres to company and HSE policies. Requires 3–5 years of machining experience, English literacy, basic welding understanding, and proficiency with basic measuring tools and reading technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of prior, current machining experience
- ability to read and understand English, read and understand parts books, service manuals, schematics and fabrication blueprints
- basic understanding of welding process
- ability to read and comprehend service literature, basic measuring tools and basic arithmetic
