Job Summary
Machinist role performing inspection, setup, and operation of manual and CNC machines to produce parts within tolerances; interprets blueprints, reads manuals, selects tooling and fixtures, sets feeds and speeds, and enters commands to machine parts. Responsible for in-process inspections, adjusting controls as needed, collaborating with engineers and production staff to resolve issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of prior, current machining experience
- Ability to read and understand English
- Able to read parts books, service manuals, schematics and fabrication blueprints
- Ability to manipulate controls and operate machine tools safely
- Basic understanding of welding process
- Ability to read and comprehend service literature and basic measuring tools
- Understanding of various equipment systems and practical application in daily job
- Basic mechanical knowledge
