Job Summary
Lead mechanics in repairing, servicing, and inspecting electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks while enforcing OSHA, MSHA, and DOT safety policies. Assign tasks, direct workers in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance, and manage spare parts requisitions to ensure cost-effective asset repairs. Communicate with operations during unscheduled repairs to prevent equipment downtime and maintain a safe, clean shop environment. Requires Class A or B CDL, two years of supervisory experience, and a clean driving record. Full-time role with competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $35 based on skill.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in diesel mechanics or a related field OR 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
- Clean driving record
- State Inspection License
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience and/or training
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
