Job Summary
Conduct advanced computer and electrical diagnostics, perform major and minor component repairs, and manage preventative maintenance schedules for the company's fleet of power units and tank trailers. Oversee mechanics, assign projects, and maintain accurate daily OOS reports and inventory records. Ensure compliance with FRTL safety expectations while operating heavy equipment and tools. Requires Class A CDL with Hazmat, 5-7 years of diesel experience, and ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Reports to Shop Supervisor or Terminal Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to understand and assist in inventory management and correct inventory billing
- Ability to Complete Daily OOS report
- Ability to Prioritize projects and assign
- Ability to Manage Preventive Maintenance schedules
- Ability to Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records
- Ability to Maintain compliance with FRTL safety expectations
- Advanced knowledge of diesel and fuel engine maintenance and repair
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently
- Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts
- Ability to pass required bus driver safety training
- Acceptable driving record
- Working knowledge in the use of hand tools
- A valid driver's license
- Must have a positive attitude
- Willingness to grow in the position
- Basic computer skills for data entry into the maintenance system
- Class A CDL with Hazmat
- 5-7 Years of automotive or diesel experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Petroleum Tank repair experience and certifications
