Job Summary
The Shop Inspector Trainee will assist experienced inspectors by learning to perform inspections per industry standards and maintaining inspection tools and equipment. Responsibilities include completing visual acuity tests, participating in risk analysis, managing inventory, handling documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a willingness to learn and take initiative, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of tools and computer skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Willingness to work long hours and be on call 24 hours/day, as required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and take initiative
- Ability to take direction, manage priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (e.g., grinders) preferred
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
