Job Summary

Maintain current files of FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, and Airworthiness Directives while assuring periodic checks of all inspection tools and test equipment. Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections of all shop-processed articles, determining that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed. Oversee proper tagging and identification of components, manage rejected parts to prevent misuse, and verify the airworthiness of incoming materials and external work. Notify the Director of Quality of any malfunction or defect requiring immediate reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Aviation experience as a QC inspector or Technician
  • Knowledgeable with FARs
  • Knowledgeable with inspection methods, equipment and tools to determine airworthiness of article or unit
  • Able to perform inspections on maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations done to articles
  • Able to use mechanical, electronic and visual inspection aids
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 series
  • Knowledge of basic electronic theory
  • Understand, read and write English
  • Communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of CMMs
  • Read and interpret schematics
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Basic Microsoft and Excel
  • Pre-employment related training records
  • Certified (FAA Airframe and Powerplant licensed)

Desired Qualifications

  • College education a plus
