Shop Helper

Set up and operate production equipment while adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Move hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline, or steam-powered machinery and interpret hand signals for material placement. Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and supplies; manipulate crane controls to regulate hoist movement per instructions. Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, and routine repairs on equipment, inspecting for defects and notifying supervisors of malfunctions. Interpret load charts and observe load hook-ups to ensure safety. Works under minimum supervision with typically constant standing, walking, and pushing/pulling requirements.
